LAUREN HURET
ARTIFICIAL FEAR, INTELLIGENCE OF LIFE
Through video Lauren Huret (*1984, lives and works in Geneva) explores collage and performance, contemporary beliefs and narratives connected with machines. Specifically she is examining the new digital technologies. Her artwork focuses on, for example, the construction of the history of the digital media, our physical and emotional relationship to the new communication devices, and the startling appearance of artificial intelligence in our daily lives. The exhibition Artificial Fear, Intelligence of Life is the artist’s first solo show in Geneva and will run concurrently with Artificial Fear, Intelligence of Death, which Langenthal’s Kunsthaus has devoted to the artist and is on view from 28 April to 26 June 2016.
